Discount Deck: Skuntank /Baby Zoroark

Ok here’s another cheap-o that plays pretty well, although I’m not 100% sure why.

So the idea is to use Skuntank to make life hard for your opponent, because they’ll have trouble attacking unless they have 2 pokemon setup with free retreat.

Sticky Smokescreen
(k)(c) 50
If the Defending Pokémon tries to attack during your opponent’s next turn, your opponent flips 2 coins. If either of them is tails, that attack does nothing.
Hammer In
(k)(k)(c) 100

While your active pokemon is making a big stink, you prep baby Zoroark on the bench. Sometimes Mind Jack is good enough after you drop some 50 point smokescreens. Othertimes, you’ll want to use Zoroark BREAK’s Foul Play to copy your opponent’s attack. This works great when your opponent is playing a GX heavy deck.

In addition to the attack, there’s a smidgen of energy denial in this deck. So if your Skunks are taking longer to setup then this’ll help slow things down. Overall the whole thing is disruptive. Your opponent will either have a tough time getting their ‘mon setup (energy removal), attacking (Sticky Smokescreen), or getting too powerful (Foul Play).

I’ve actually had oddly good success with this deck. It’s 2-1 against Garchomp despite the weakness to fighting and free retreat, because the energy removal and Foul Play. It also LOVES Dialga Gx! If you got the Zoroarks, it’s an incredibly inexpensive deck to play.
