I started playing Pokemon almost two years ago. I had a Pokemon party for my son and some of his friends. Most of them were playing with cards, but a couple were playing PTCGO on laptops. My son said to me, "Dad, I'll bet with our new computer we can go online and redeem all of these pack codes I've got." Several hundred code cards later, I started getting into learning how to put together decks, and then when I found the Trade functionality on PTCGO, it was all over and I was totally hooked. While I play almost exclusively online, I did attend the North American Intercontinental Championship in June of 2017, and I hope to compete more IRL in the future. I avidly follow the Standard competitions and am fascinated by how the "meta" changes from expansion to expansion. When not playing Pokemon, I'm usually driving one or the other of my twelve year old twins to either ballet or soccer practice. I'm also an assistant coach on my son's club team.
